been trying out some new stuff and i'm not sure where to dump it so i guess it's going here, in my chronically neglected, mostly unseen blog. if anyone's still watching, enjoy!

i know it's been a long while, so i thought i'd post a batch of what i've been working on lately. i also just set up a tumblr specifically for my architectural work. it's kind of an excuse to keep doing the kind of work i did for REBUILT. check it out here:

REBUILT

my first solo show debuted last night and was a great success! it was good to see so many familiar faces and well wishers. here's just a few of the new pieces i did for the show.

this blog needs to be updated more frequently! luckily i have a pretty big stockpile of art to post so there will be more new stuff soon.

another nerdy update

just a quick update this time. The Hellboy show at brave new worlds last friday was our first without Joe-big-pappa-Game and it went well! lots of great work and friendly faces. here's my piece for the show, and a few unrelated sketches.

Poe and Raoh, brothers separated by time/fiction

a sampling of some of my favorite Poes from the Art In the Age show up now at their flagship store, and a few that were a bit too silly to make it into the show. I wanted to do a bunch of slightly different versions so that every print is a bit different. Also, gives me a chance to play around with the same image for hours which is of course what i love to do.


lastly, a nerdy little Raoh illustration (of fist of the north star fame). this little guy was a lot of fun. i can only hope i did the fist proud!a very colorful post this time, huh?

sketch dump/drawing is fun

it's update time again and i've been trying to do a lot more drawing for fun so i figured what better excuse to upload some things from my sketchbook.






my good friend the very talented Dan Trauten is working on adding some color/magic to the third one so hopefully i can post the finish soon.

Back from San Diego and feelin fine

another year, another comic con under my belt! to my surprise i've survived another trip to the madness of san diego comic con and in fact, i had a good time. it's good to see all the people that i only get to see at these conventions, and of course talk to interesting strangers, and sell my book! the AWAKENING hardcover is finally(!) out and available for purchase so Nick and I were hard at work all weekend.

to celebrate i thought i'd post some preliminary art for a new pitch that Nick and I are working on as well as a couple other little guys.
